AMIA provides a number of annual events that provide educational opportunities for those working with moving image media. We provide a number of Sponsorship Packages that provide reach to all areas of the archival profession.

Typical sponsorship benefits include:

  • Your logo and company profile on The Reel Thing  website.
  • egistration(s) to the Symposium
  • Ad space  in the Program
  • Your logo onscreen during The Reel Thing  program interstitials

Whether you are interested in sponsorship of just The Reel Thing technical symposium or want to expand your reach to all AMIA events, we can work with you on a package that meets your budget.

In 2013, in addition to The Reel Thing, we have two more major events:

DAS 2013 – Digital Asset Syposium:  Los Angeles, CA
October 18, 2013 – One Day Program

Digital Asset Management in the real world – DAS 2013 offers in-depth, real world information on an ever-advancing technology. Case studies will offer a mix of broadcasting, national archives, studios and educational institutions, providing a unique opportunity to compare approaches in different communities. This real-life approach will bring content creators, caretakers and vendors together to address the realities with which we are all faced, what works in theory, and what works in the real world.

AMIA 2013:  Richmond
November 6-9, 2013

The annual AMIA Conference is the largest gathering of motion picture and recorded sound archivists and interested professionals.  500-700 annual attendees include members and colleagues from the world’s major media institutions, including the Library of Congress, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences (AMPAS), the British Film Institute, Netherlands Filmmuseum, UCLA Film and Television Archive and George Eastman House, the major studios – Sony Pictures, Twentieth Century Fox, Universal Pictures, Paramount Pictures, Warner Bros. – as well as library, university, military and other institutions.     Organized by working audiovisual archivists, the Conference program focuses on urgent problems faced by the “lone arranger” to a national collection, with attention to pressures of shifting technologies and managing budgets.
